Spencer Apple

Hello! My name is Spencer Apple. I received my Associates Degree in Science from Harold Washington College in Chicago before transferring to UIC. I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences with a minor in Mathematics. Hailing from the west suburbs of Chicago, I have seen my fair share of extreme weather events. I am especially interested in midlatitude cyclones that affect the Great Plains region of North America. Upon graduation, I hope to continue deepening my knowledge about the beautifully chaotic systems that wreak havoc on the daily lives of the people and infrastructure that are unlucky enough to be in their path of destruction and what the future impacts of human-driven climate change will have on these systems and the people on the ground. Outside of my pursuit of knowledge, I enjoy live music, spending time with my family, and Ken Burns documentaries.

Freeman Alexander

Hi, my name is Alexander, and I am a 4th year undergrad pursuing bachelor's degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences. I have an interest in the rising sea level and hope to look further into its effects on coastal and island environments.
